This Limited Warranty outlines the coverage provided for your Artisan Elm furniture.
1. One-Year Limited Warranty
Artisan Elm provides a One (1) Year Limited Warranty from the date of delivery to the original purchaser.
This warranty covers defects in:
- Workmanship
- Structural construction
- Joinery failures
- Manufacturing defects in materials
- Hardware defects under normal residential use
If a covered defect is discovered during the warranty period, Artisan Elm will, at its sole discretion:
- Repair the product;
- Replace defective components;
- Replace the product; or
- Provide another appropriate remedy.
2. What Is Covered
The warranty applies to:
Solid Wood Structural Components
Coverage includes:
- Joint separation caused by workmanship defects
- Structural failure of frames or panels
- Defective drawer construction
- Defective door construction
- Hardware malfunction due to manufacturing defects
Manufacturing Defects
Examples include:
- Improper assembly
- Defective joinery
- Material defects affecting normal use
- Workmanship issues present at the time of delivery
3. Natural Characteristics Of Solid Wood
Wood is a living, natural material. Variations in appearance are expected and are not considered defects.
Natural characteristics include:
- Variations in grain pattern
- Color variation
- Knots and mineral streaks
- Seasonal wood movement
- Small checks or hairline cracks
- Changes in color due to aging or sunlight exposure
These characteristics are part of the beauty and uniqueness of solid wood furniture.
4. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
Normal Wear And Tear
Including but not limited to:
- Surface scratches
- Minor dents or impressions
- Finish wear
- Fabric wear
- Fading from sunlight
- Patina developed through use
Environmental Damage
Damage caused by:
- Excessive humidity
- Extremely dry environments
- Direct sunlight exposure
- Water damage
- Heat damage
- Fire, flooding, or natural disasters
Improper Use
Including:
- Commercial use unless specifically approved
- Misuse, abuse, or neglect
- Improper assembly by the customer
- Improper moving or relocation
- Modifications or alterations performed by unauthorized parties
Accidental Damage
Including:
- Impacts
- Scratches
- Stains
- Pet damage
- Damage caused during customer relocation
5. Wood Movement Disclaimer
Solid wood naturally expands and contracts in response to seasonal humidity changes.
Minor movement, including:
- Small seasonal gaps
- Slight panel movement
- Minor dimensional changes
is normal and is not considered a manufacturing defect.
To maintain the integrity of solid wood furniture, we recommend maintaining indoor humidity levels between 35% and 55%.
6. Custom And Made-To-Order Products
Because most Artisan Elm furniture is custom or made-to-order, slight variations from photographs, renderings, wood samples, or digital mockups may occur.
Variations in:
- Wood grain
- Color
- Figure
- Texture
- Natural markings
are normal and are not covered under this warranty.
7. Warranty Claims
To submit a warranty claim, please contact us within the warranty period and provide:
- Original order number
- Proof of purchase
- Detailed description of the issue
- Photographs showing the problem
